Mountain bike travel has taken us to some wild places, and we have done a lot of biking in the rain. Through all of it we have learned what actually works.
The four must-bring pieces
We break our wet-weather kit into four pieces of gear we consider absolute must-brings. Each earns its place in the pack — and most of them double as backcountry first-aid in a pinch: bandage a wound, pad a splint, keep you warm, even work as a pillow.
Ride it, don’t fear it.
